Delivered by Pastor Kenneth J. Monahan

Message: Welcome to 2005!

Theme: What are you going to do with the time God has given you?

Scripture: Exodus 19:1-6, John 15:5, Psalm 119:105, 2nd Peter 1:12-15

How do you plan to spend the 8,760 hours which God has given you for 2005?

Factors for Victory (in 2005):

  1. Exodus 19:1-6

You need to have a place to meet regularly with God

Chuck Swindal, "Personal Strengthening Time": You need to find the right time and right place in order to be consistent with your special time with God. Each person needs to find their right time and right place.

  2. John 15:5

You must be prepared. We should be trimmed regularly to be fruitful. We should desire to obje God.

  3. Psalm 119:105

To hear from God you need the scriptures

  4. You need a Journal. Journals help us maintain our personal journey with God.

(Why) Have you stopped listening to God?

Often we find that there is nothing new in our devotions. 2nd Peter 1:12-15 tells us that we need reminding.

A faithful Christian is pleasant to be around.
