The Calm Before The Storm

by admin last modified July 05, 2004 08:20 AM

In the church records there is a brief history written on April 1, 1882. It ends with these words:

"At the present time there is a feeling of general good will prevailing among the people. The poor of the church are cared for. The Sunday school is large (265) and flourishing and the spiritual interest of the church is fairly good. With sincere gratitude for past blessings and an earnest prayer for divine guidance, we look forward hopefully into the future relying upon His promise who hath said `My presence shall go with thee`."
