The Sunday School Addition
The next big modification was the addition of the Sunday School Building at the side of the church. A Committee was established in 1946 and Edward Bridge, a Boston architect, drew the plans. Ground was broken in 1950 and the building seen today was dedicated in June 1951. The cost was about $75,000. Property previously belonging to the Central Avenue Church, including the church building, was sold and financial campaign to raise $25,000 was started. This debt was paid by 1955!
