Greetings From the Pastor

by admin last modified July 05, 2004 09:35 AM

This one hundred year centennial highlights the progress of the church in serving God in Dover. The building is a tangible manifestation and evidence that the church has been here and has been at work. It speaks of the men and women, generation after generation, who love God and desire to be His people. Yet we cannot focus on the building other than to let it be our gathering place. The physical building must remind us that we as believers are indeed the building of God. The Apostle Peter put it this way,

"As you come to him, the living Stone - rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him - you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ."
1st Peter 2:4-5

May we, at this particular time, as God's spiritual house, rededicate ourselves so that the gathering place of God's people will continue to manifest evidence of faithful and loyal men and women who continue to love and serve God with all their heart and strength. May the generations to come be able to look back and know we have been faithful men and women of God, to His honor and glory.

Rev. Paul L. Quinn, Pastor
